My November 2023 Publications!

I had four new pieces out in November of this year!

My flash fiction piece, “The Train Station That Knows What You Need,” came out in Cafe Irreal. This story is super special to me because while we were in Japan back in May, we came VERY near to the train station in question. Sadly, we did not go through it, though honestly, since we were on the bullet train, I probably wouldn’t have been able to get a good photo even if we had. Still, it was exciting to me to realize we were passing through the area that one of my stories was set in! (I wrote this one before we planned our trip to Japan!)

Another flash fiction piece, “Dinosaur Seeds,” was published in Short Circuit. This one is also super exciting because it’s in the Short Edition story machines, which you can find in some libraries, bookstores, and transit locales! I know of two in the Seattle area, and I’m sure there are many more! This one is listed as a children’s story because it’s absolutely kid friendly, though it is told from the perspective of the mother of a young child.

My flash fiction piece, “Don’t Count Your Sprite Shards Before They’re Caged,” now has an audio version thanks to Manawaker Flash Fiction Podcast. This is a fun little steampunk piece with some action and adventure told in a tiny space!

Finally, I had one short story out this month! That’s “Family Tree” inĀ Wyldblood Magazine. This is a story featuring an orphaned young woman who misses her parents and finds a way to escape her uncle’s plans for her.
