Fun for Friday: December 2023 Writing Prompts

Mountain of snow? Or whipped cream and edible glitter on my hot cocoa?

Well, we’re in the home stretch. It’s December now, which means it’s time for the December 2023 writing prompts!

This month’s prompts are all sourced from other locations. The first column is Drawcember from Reddit. The second column is from Doodlewash’s December art challenge list. And the third column is from Writers Write’s December 2022 list. And yes, that last word in column 3 is what you think it is. The original list censored it, so I have too.

You’ll notice a lot more asterisks this month than normal, as the first two columns have a ton of direct overlap. I didn’t flag ones that were only sort of overlapped (like gifts and presents). But as per the usual, you can either skip the duplicates, use them twice, or try to come up with other meanings for those words. There are certainly possibilities for that last option, though you may have to stretch for some of them!

Check back on the last Friday of each month (or occasionally the first day of a new month, when that falls on a Friday) for my History That Never Was writing prompts!
