Writer Gift Ideas: The Anti-Planner

Are you or the writer in your life tired of standard planners? Check out The Anti-Planner, which is 1) exactly what it says on the tin and 2) a great boon for neurodiverse people!

Instead of expecting you to set up your life in a standard planner, The Anti-Planner is all about getting things done when that’s the last thing you want to do. You can choose what kind of “don’t wanna” you’re feeling out of several options, then flip to that section for some more questions about that “don’t wanna” and recommending an exercise that might help. There are generally options for exercises, so if one isn’t right for you, another might be. And if you truly just want to embrace the chaos, you could just flip the book open to any page and do that exercise!

While I still rely pretty heavily on my standard planners (yes, plural), having The Anti-Planner around for a good solid kick in the pants can be super useful, both for writing projects and non-writing things that really do need to get done. It would make a great gift for a writer or other creative or even just someone who could use some help with external motivation that’s a lot more fun than your standard to-do list!
