History That Never Was

It occurred to me earlier today that one of my stories is available online. (It also occurred to me that I should add it to my publications list!)

This story was one that I worked on, in two very different versions, for quite a while. I submitted one version of the story to one venue, but it was an odd read, and I wasn’t sure how it would do. Back in October, Associated Content had a contest for flash pieces in a slightly spooky vein, so I carved out one piece of the first draft and submitted it there. I didn’t win the contest, but all of the entries stay up on the site once submitted.
