My numbers for 2024:
Stories out at the end of 2023: 112
New Stories Written: 92 (1 novelette, 5 short stories, 50 flash or shorter, 36 poems)
Old Stories Making the Rounds: 179
Total Submissions: 481
Total Rejections: 537
Total Acceptances: 16
Stories out at the end of 2024: 47

My subs for 2024 were, again, a little lower than they’ve been in the past. This was partially due to travel but also due to just a hectic year in terms of everything other than writing I had going on. I also didn’t finish quite as much writing as I have in the past, but I did put down some very solid numbers for the year!

My acceptance numbers were fairly good for the year. I sold four short stories, two poems, and ten flash fiction or shorter pieces, with a few of those at professional rates!

As for my 2024 goals:

• Write 143 new pieces: I came a bit short of that, but it was relatively close!
• Review 18 books: I exceeded this, with 20 book reviews!
• Publish one short story collection, one novella, and one non-fiction book: The novella was delayed, but I published two short story collections and the non-fiction book, so that’s pretty close to my goals for the year!

Overall, not too shabby of a year!
