History That Never Was

It’s time for the November writing prompts! The lists I looked at for this month were definitely thinking autumn, so I changed it up a little bit with one very non-autumn list!

Column 1 is from the Doodlewash November 2024 Art Challenge. It’s got a number of autumnal words, but it’s also got a nice selection of other words as well!

Column 2 is from whimsyjots November 2024 drawing prompts and art challenges. This site has three separate lists–I used the first list, with some minor modifications–so if you’re looking for MORE options, check out their other two lists! These are also very autumnally themed.

Finally, column 3 breaks from the mold! This one is BlackCloverCreations’ 2023 November Noir Art Challenge! While this is going to skew some of your writing toward mysteries and crime, I think it’s fun to figure out how to put together autumnal and cozy words with something that doesn’t match up at all!

There are a couple of words repeated between the first and second columns, and those are starred. You can use them to continue along the same theme for a piece, skip them when the repeats come up, or figure out a different way to interpret the word in question. Have fun with it!
