History That Never Was

October is almost upon us, which means it’s time for the October 2024 writing prompts!

This month’s prompts are all taken from drawing challenges. As always, I devote column 1 to Mab’s Drawlloween Club, my favorite of the bunch. (She also has a printable calendar version if you prefer to have that to scribble notes on!)

Column 2 is the Gothtober challenge from limeth. This one is designed for goth original characters to be drawn in a variety of styles and situations, but the words here are also fun to combine with the other columns.

Finally, Column 3 is from the Original Drawlloween, and it includes a lot of spooky plays on titles and other concepts. This column has quite a bit of humor in it, so not everyone may find it useful for writing prompts if you want to lean spookier. But I figure having a bit of humor is great for the folks who don’t feel like doing spooky! So it all balances out, right?

As an additional prompt, the photo to the right might inspire you. How did someone get all those skulls and bones so tiny? Or are they not from humans? So many possibilities!
