History That Never Was

Now that the videos from the 2026 WriteHive online conference are posted, I’ll be sharing some of those with quick summaries. First up is one of the panels I spoke on, “How to Find the Right Home for Poems and Short Stories“!

During this panel, we talked about the challenges of submitting short fiction and poetry but also touched on some of the awesome parts of finding the right venue for your writing, especially when you can also get paid for it! We also talked about some of the logistics of finding those venues, things to know about selling various types of rights to your stories and poems, and even some interesting places where you might publish your writing, including things like poems on transit or in short story vending machines.
