History That Never Was

I’ve now posted the first ten prompts from the Big Pink Book, along with how I used each one. Here’s a quick recap post.

Out of these ten prompts, I used two of them for introspection and planning, two of them to create prompt lists or story seeds, three to write drabbles, one to draft half of a sonnet, and two for brainstorming that hasn’t quite made its way into a story yet. Looked at from a different perspective, 30 percent of the prompts have given me a completed piece, and 50 percent have given me raw material to shape into a piece later. That’s pretty good for just starting out!
