I felt a little like I hadn’t done many submissions in July, but the numbers are better than I thought! It’s balanced somewhat by a low number of rejections, but I managed to increase how much I had out by the end of the month. My two acceptances were both drabbles to Reach Your Apex. Those were “Queen of Scream” (content note: spiders) and “Monster Math.”
Most of July was spent working on my next collection, which will now be an October release (based on a decision made earlier this week), and starting on the edits for a new Cobalt City book (not by me), due out in November. I also wrote some flash fiction for a casual contest and participated in the WriteHive conference.
