The Big Pink Book Prompt 5: Flags and Leaves
The next prompt in the Big Pink Book is another page with loads of room for writing. It has a small round sticker at top left that says “Here” (glittery yellow with purple text), a string of black and gold papel picado (perforated paper flags often seen at Day of the Dead events), and a row of four different leaves with an acorn in the center, all in gold and very dark brown.
This page gives a lot of options for things you can do with it, either connected in some way to one or more of the stickers or not. Between the Day of the Dead flags and the leaves and acorn having some autumn connections, that seems like a good theme for a piece. You could also identify the sorts of trees those leaves likely come from (I’m really awful at that, personally, and these may not be entirely accurate leaves) and use that for inspiration.
