History That Never Was

Time for more weird history to inspire your writing or maybe just pique your curiosity!

This month, I’ve got the daily historical events from The History Place, which include the normal mix of several events and birthdays for each day of the month. In addition, Rest Less has a list of 28 events that took place in April.

The events might be a little less weird this month, as I wasn’t able to find any really good WEIRD April history articles. But there’s still plenty here to choose from!

Even if you don’t write historical fiction, you could choose an odd event and transport it into a different setting, time period, genre, etc. See if any of these events gives you a great idea for a story, poem, or even a novel!
