Social Media Strategies for Authors

I recently came across Marie Vibbert’s post about her self promotion and social media strategies recently, which she concludes by looking at the impact (or lack thereof) on sales. It’s a great read, and her results fly against some of the common wisdom dispensed to authors.

This is not to say that you should delete all your social media accounts and run away from the internet screaming, but it does suggest that if you’re spending a lot of time on social media and not seeing results, you’re not the only one, and there may be better strategies than what common wisdom suggests.
