My Recent(-ish) Sci-Fi Stories and Collections!

It’s been quite a while since I did a sci-fi roundup of things I’ve published. So here goes!

My poem, “Portrait Day at Zapus Zone 9 Academy,” which imagines a school attended by multiple alien species, appeared in Star*Line in October 2022.

My flash fiction piece, “Senchado in Microgravity,” was podcast at Manawaker Studios Flash Fiction Podcast, also in October 2022. This one is about family, grief, and tea, in space. This story also was reprinted in the Utopia Science Fiction 5th Anniversary Anthology earlier this month.

My poem, “Diamond Snow,” which is a sijo, appeared in the March 2023 issue of Frozen Wavelets. It describes reactions to an alien world.

I had two drabbles in Dark Stars in March 2023, “The Problem with Schematics” and “Litany.” The first is about an improbable spaceship, while the latter is about human disappearances and alien reactions.

In April 2023, I released Droplets from the Universe (pictured), which is a collection of joyful and happy ending (at least for some characters) sci-fi stories and poetry.

My flash fiction piece, “Turning the Tide,” was reprinted in Dread Space 2 in May 2023. This is a military adjacent sci-fi story regarding where the soldiers for intergalactic warfare come from.

My poem, “The Whale Shark’s Stars,” appeared in Strange Horizons in July 2023. This is an interlocking rubaiyat involving whale sharks in space.

I released my collection Dead-Starred Futures in August 2023. This one is the flipside of Droplets from the Universe, containing the dark sci-fi and apocalyptic stories and poetry.

My poem “A New Mythology,” about a space-faring group explaining things about their new home, appeared in Star*Line in October 2023.

Finally, my drabble “Different” has just appeared in the Black Hare Press Year Five anthology. This one is about an alien invasion that’s not quite what folks expected.
