Some Newer Spooky Reads

I take my Halloween decorations very seriously. This skull had to come home with me.

If you’re looking for something spooky to read for Halloween (or leading up to it), here’s a few of my recent dark publications.

My drabbles, “The Problem with Schematics” and “Litany,” appeared in the Dark Stars anthology, which is a collection of dark sci-fi drabbles from Shacklebound Books. One involves a ship that should not be, and the other involves the meaning of some ominous graffiti.

My microfiction piece, “Turning the Tide,” was reprinted in Dread Space 2, another anthology of dark sci-fi, these with a slightly more military sci-fi bent. This piece originally appeared at Daily Science Fiction, and I’m glad to have found it a second home!

Finally, my recent collection Dead-Starred Futures, which came out in August, collects a bunch of very short dark and dystopian sci-fi stories and poems.
