Fun for Friday: September 2023 Writing Prompts

Welcome to September and this month’s writing prompts!

The first column this month is a throwback to my prompts from 2018. Most of the words are September themed, with a chunk that use the letters in the word September.

The second column is the optional prompt list from Kick in the Creatives. I’ve changed the British spellings to American spellings, but there’s still one British term on the list. “Pick and mix” is a type of candy that seems to be popular in England, which might be called “penny candy” in the United States.

Finally, the third column is from artpromptcal on Tumblr. This list is mostly simple words, but they give a nice counterpoint to the other two columns!

And for the photo this month, some lovely sunflowers from outside the butterfly house at Woodland Park Zoo!

Check back on the last Friday of each month (or occasionally the first day of a new month, when that falls on a Friday) for my History That Never Was writing prompts!
