Back from a Trip to Japan!

Jeremy and I spent two weeks visiting Japan (we actually got back a week ago), primarily in Kyoto and Tokyo, but also with a wild dash along the Sea of Japan/East Sea. We were part of a tour group, so we had a lot of our time and activities pre-scheduled, but we also got some free time here and there. The photo I’ve included with this post is from one of those days, when we visited the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto.

It was a bit of a whirlwind, and I got very little writing done. Even on the days that weren’t scheduled to the gills, we stayed pretty busy. But travel is good for the brain, and it gave me a few ideas of things I might write later, inspired by things we saw and learned.

It’ll probably be a while before we do another big overseas trip, and now that we’ve been to Japan, we’ll probably aim for a different location for the next big trip. For now, I’ll just have to bask in the memories of this lovely two week trip as I plan the things we’ll do next time we make it to Japan!
