History That Never Was

In the not-entirely-accurate words of Justin Timberlake, “It’s gonna be May!”

Okay, yeah, that’s a horrible joke but I love it anyway. And it is nearly May, which means it’s time for one of my favorite monthly challenges, MerMay!

And MerMay is the source of the first column of words/phrases. There are a couple on there I had to look up, specifically “zaddy” and “Halle Bailey.” The latter will be Ariel in the new Little Mermaid movie. The former is sort of the new sugar daddy? Only not.

Column 2 is from Kick in the Creatives. Column 3 is from Art Prompt Calendar, which I haven’t seen before.

There are a couple of duplicate words this month, so those are starred on their second occurrence. With those, they can be a good excuse to do some more work on a piece you started but didn’t finish that also used that word. Or you can skip them the second time, or even reuse them–the nice thing about the three word prompt is that you might wind up with something very different when the same word has two different words with it.
