Scenes from a Quiet Apocalypse is Five!
I released Scenes from a Quiet Apocalypse, one of my strangest and most experimental novellas, five years ago this month. I based the structure on the tarot cards of the major arcana, pulling characters and details of the scenes from the images and meanings of the various cards. The main character, Destiny, is The Fool, though over the course of the story, she grows and learns, leaving behind some of her old ways. It can be interesting to read the book with the knowledge that everyone and everything in it is tied to the tarot.
Aside from that aspect, the book is otherwise the story of an unusual apocalypse involving some sort of supernatural effect on the bulk of the world’s population. It’s a relatively quick read, and it’s available in ebook only.
