History That Never Was

Publishing sometimes slows down a bit toward the end of the year, but I had a couple of pieces out this past month!

“Don’t Count Your Sprite Shards Before They’re Caged” is a sort of steampunk flash fiction piece that was published in Factor Four. I say sort of steampunk, because it involves an airship, which to me is always steampunk. But it really could be more of a fantasy story, even though part of it is based on a real-world phenomenon, sprite lightning (which Jeremy has declared “terrifying”).

In addition, my story “Hashtag TPE” was reprinted in LOLcraft, which is an anthology of “eldritch humor.” This story is quite niche, being set at Miskatonic University but leaning more toward humor than horror, so it’s nice to have found a second home for it!
