Other Tales in Old Legends and New Fables

I’ve talked about the various cultures by which my various stories and poems inĀ Old Legends and New Fables were inspired, but I’ve also included some that aren’t as easily grouped together. I’ve got a few poems inspired by the legends and fables of the Americas, like the “woman in white” said to haunt the roads of the southwest and into Mexico.

I also have some pieces that syncretize the legends of several cultures, like “An Unknown Light,” which looks at the idea of the will o’ wisp across many cultures. I’ve also included poems related to astrology and tarot, subjects with a long and varied history across cultures. And finally, my poem “But a Fable” was inspired by artwork called “Fable” that is not connected to any particular fable, but seemed to fit this collection perfectly.

You can find all of these and more in Old Legends and New Fables!
