It’s time for the February 2025 writing prompts!

This month, I decided to use random words from Random Word Generator. Column 1 is nouns, column 2 is verbs, and column 3 is adjectives. I like to think of organizing the columns in this way to suggest a sort of basic sentence as the prompt, wherein the adjective modifies the noun, and the verb is the action that noun is taking.

But because the English language has substantial overlap between these categories of parts of speech, some of the words could be used as any of the three, or at least as two out of three. So you can look at them as a subject, verb, and adjective combination, as I explain above, or you could think about them as words outside of what part of speech they “are” in the prompt or even change the words to other parts of speech (i.e., change “leadership” in the first column of February 1’s prompts to “lead” as a verb). Whatever works for you is a totally fine approach!

You can also use my bonus image as a prompt with any of these, or even all of them, if you really like skulls and skeletons. I just really like how the two pieces stack atop each other, as though something has a double skull!
