History That Never Was

There are still a handful more days in July, but it’s time for the August 2024 prompts!

This month, I’ve gotten all of the prompts from art challenges! The first column is for Doggust, which is new to me, but it involves art of dogs! I’ve opted for the alternative list, as the main list has many specific breeds, but I felt like the alternative list had better options!

The second and third columns are both Smaugust lists, which is a dragon art challenge. Column 2 is @fariis_art‘s list for 2024, while Column 3 is @maahismaaria‘s list. In the case of the latter, I did not include the word “dragon” with each of the prompts, but you can add that in if you want to write about a bunch of dragons!

Of course, if you don’t want to write about dogs and/or dragons, you can also think of these words apart from that context and see what direction it takes you personally in! I think there are some great evocative words and phrases for poets in this month’s options!
