February 2026 Recap!

By the numbers:
Stories out at the beginning of the month: 33
Acceptances received: 2
Rejections received: 14
Stories withdrawn: 0
Resubmissions: 23
New Submissions: 0
Stories out at the end of the month: 40
February turned out pretty good on the resubmissions front, as I managed to send out more pieces than I received rejections, so my numbers are up! I also had two acceptances in February for drabbles on the Reach Your Apex BlueSky feed. “One Giant Leap for Snailkind” is a slightly humorous piece, and “Foxfire, Faux Friends” is a bit darker in its implications.
I spent most of February fighting a cold that I’ve only recently recovered from. It was a NASTY two and an half weeks of congestion and coughing. Despite that, I wrote a couple of flash fiction pieces and a couple of poems, worked on the essays for my upcoming novella, and wrote a book review.
March is going to be more poetry, a gaming convention (playtesting my TTRPG!), and getting the novella ready to publish in May. I’ll also be working on conference videos and book reviews, as usual. And I’ve got This Book Has Ghosts in It coming out on TUESDAY!
