January 2026 Recap!
The stage for my first K-pop show of 2026!

I made more submissions in January than I did in December of last year, but I didn’t quite keep up with my rejections, so I ended January with fewer pieces out than I’d had at the beginning of the month. But I’m making progress toward getting more pieces out there, and I’ll keep on chugging with that. And although I didn’t have any January acceptances or publications, I’ve got hold notices from two markets, so I’m hopeful those will become acceptances!
In January, I made some revisions to my RPG, and I’ve got another playtest scheduled soon before I take it to a convention in March. After that, it’ll probably be time to start working on publishing it, assuming we don’t find any major problems with the revised gameplay! I also wrote four flash fiction pieces for the casual contest, and I worked on my upcoming collection and the novella that will be out after that. More details on those when we’re closer to their release dates!
This month, I’ll write a couple more flash fiction pieces and then roll into a casual poetry contest, in addition to working on an essay to go alongside the novella. And I’ll also have the usual book reviews and video work to do!
