We’re almost through January now, so here’s February’s writing prompts!

This month, I’ve picked prompts from art challenges. The first two columns are definitely more February themed, but without too much overlap. The third column adds a nice random element to the mix! Column 1 is Doodlewash’s February 2025 prompts. Column 2 is from Natural Beach Living (unidentified year). And Column 3 is from Kick in the Creatives’ February Faces Art Prompts, which is an art challenge for drawing faces specifically. In this context, maybe this column can be an inspiration for a character in your piece.

There’s one place where a word is repeated, which is marked with an asterisk in both columns. When you come across that one, you could skip the duplicate, continue writing the piece that you started on the first occurrence of the word, or use the other words for that day to write a different piece using the word. These are just a few of the options, and as always, you can do whatever you want!

I’ve also included a photograph I didn’t take this month (because I haven’t taken many photos lately), but this one caught my eye. It’s a frozen sphere with small black specks on the surface at the end of a frost-covered plant. The background is out of focus in shades of blue, with the sun at the upper left and shining through the sphere.
