My 2025 Awards Eligibility

I’ve had quite a few stories and poems out this year, so here’s a recap of things I’ve published that are eligible for awards consideration!

Short Stories

Flash Fiction (and smaller)

  • “The Graveyard,” Hawthorn & Ash (100 words, dark contemporary fantasy)
  • “Glaistig,” Hawthorn & Ash (100 words, dark contemporary fantasy)
  • “Tarot Esoterica: The Black Lagoon,” Hawthorn & Ash (100 words, dark contemporary fantasy)
  • “Witch Knight,” Hawthorn & Ash (100 words, dark fantasy)
  • “The Voice in the Walls,” New Maps (994 words, post-apocalyptic)
  • “Propagating Rosa glacies,” ALOCASIA (720 words, dark fantasy)
  • “The Magic Matters,” The Colored Lens (249 words, contemporary fantasy)
  • “Jrrrr the Summoner,” Short Fantasy Stories (100 words, dark contemporary fantasy)
  • “Modern Iso Onna,” Short Fantasy Stories (100 words, dark contemporary fantasy)

Poetry

  • “Communications Between the Queen of the Sea and the Queen of the Sun, Sisters,” Small Wonders (24 lines, sci-fi and fantasy elements)
  • “Adaptable,” Eye to the Telescope (45 lines, sci-fi)

I also released my collection, Chimerical Remembrances in September of this year, so the new stories and poems in that collection also count as releases for this year, though they are all self-published, and thus may not be eligible for all awards. And I had 10 additional drabbles published on the Reach Your Apex BlueSky feed, which are not listed above, in case there’s a secret award for drabbles I don’t know about yet! (All of the drabbles submitted to Reach Your Apex are accepted, so they may also not qualify for all awards.)
