Recent Superhero Fiction

Since my last post about my superhero fiction, I have a couple of new things out.

First off, my novella Sure Shot in Cobalt City: Homecoming came out in March. This novella is a stand-alone sequel to Sure Shot in Las Capas: The Case of the Absent Star. The two books can be read independently of each other, in whatever order you prefer, though the newer book makes some references to the older.

I also had a short story set in Cobalt City published recently. My story “Damage Abatement” appeared in the August issue of Utopia Science Fiction. This story introduces a new hero, The Excavator, along with some of the heroes from Brother’s Keeper in supporting roles. The Excavator is the actual name for “Bulldozer Man,” about whom the members of Triple Threat hypothesize in Brother’s Keeper, but she’s a woman with powers akin to what a bulldozer or excavator can do.
