My Steampunk Collection, Wreathed in Steam
I haven’t had any steampunk stories or poems published recently, so my most recent steampunk publication is Wreathed in Steam, which collects seventeen of my steampunk pieces – eight stories and nine poems – in one place!
The stories in this collection are often shorter pieces, but there are two longer stories included, and one of those holds a place of honor as my longest short story title to date: “Twelve Essential Things Found in Commander Scarlett Archer’s Spacesuit Pockets (And Some Which Were Not).” When this story was selected for Runs Like Clockwork, the editor also noted that it was the longest title in that anthology! And even though it references a spacesuit, it’s decidedly a steampunk take on starfaring ships!
Of course, this collection also includes the poem “Re,” which is the shortest of any of my titles! This one uses that prefix as the beginning of every other line, which led to that title.
