Fun for Friday: August 2025 Writing Prompts

It’s August now, so it’s time for the August 2025 writing prompts!
This month, I’ve got a variety of sources for the prompts, a couple of which are new to me. Column 1 is the Artgust Art Prompts from @alchemist_attic on Instagram. These are designed to be used with any artistic medium, which to me includes writing! Column 2 is a 2015 list from Rhi-Creations for Doodle-A-Day August. And Column 3 is the Kick in the Creatives General Art Prompts, which don’t have a date on them.
There aren’t any direct duplications this month, though there are some that are related slightly. I’ve also included a link to one of the terms, as I wasn’t sure I knew its meaning until I looked it up.
Check back on the last Friday of each month (or occasionally the first day of a new month, when that falls on a Friday) for my History That Never Was writing prompts!
