Sci-Fi Reads in New Moons Under Which to Sleep

New Moons Under Which to Sleep, is one of my shorter collections, containing six short stories, three flash fiction pieces, and six poems. And though it’s quite short, it has a few pieces in it that I absolutely loved writing.

The inspirations for the pieces are widely varied and include a repurposed limestone mine in Kansas, the sounds of neighbors in the hallway, areas alongside the road with stacks of storage containers, gothic metal, and a derelict Indian satellite. Two of the poems are Golden Shovels, which use material from existing poems (in this case “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost and “This is Just to Say” by William Carlos Williams). Other pieces reference David Bowie, Alan Rickman, tardigrades, K-pop videos, and Hunter S. Thompson.

Needless to say, it’s a widely varied collection, and despite its small size, I’m proud of this tiny book! It’s available both as an ebook and as a very slim print book!
