We’re coming to the end of the year, so it’s time for the December 2024 writing prompts!

Column 1 this month is from Doodlewash‘s December 2024 prompts. For this one, I occasionally took out an adjective related to Christmas or winter. Column 2 is from Kick in the Creative‘s December 2024 prompts. For these, I Americanized the spelling and shortened a few of them to just a single word from the prompt. Column 3 is from a 2024 Drawcember list. I changed up a couple of the entries in this column to be something from the description instead of the word itself, to cut down on some of the duplication.

Most of the lists this month had a definite winter holiday theme, so there may be a few more duplicate entries than normal. As per the usual, you can skip them, expand on an earlier piece, or try for a different interpretation of the word. Or whatever else you like to do with duplicate prompts!

As a bonus this month, you can also check out WhimsyJots’ three lists of prompts for December, the third of which also offers three prompts per day. So you could have EIGHT prompts a day in December!
