If you’re looking for a random writing prompt, check out this generator! The prompts it provides would make great opening lines, but they could also just be used to inspire a story!

This one is noted as the “Most Dangerous Random Prompt Generator” because you can start writing a story by clicking a button and typing, but if you stop typing, it deletes what you wrote AND the prompt. So I’d recommend finding a prompt you like and writing it down or typing it in a document instead of writing on the site. (They also have a pop up for AI-related writing things, which I don’t love, but I don’t get the sense that the prompts here are AI generated.)
