May 2024 Recap!
The otters were out for the first time in quite a while!

May was on the slower side for my writing and submitting, but also on the acceptance and rejection sides. I had two stories where the markets never responded, but otherwise, not a lot of activity.
I only wrote two flash fiction pieces in May, rather than my planned three, and I had to put recluse on the backburner because it needed a lot more time than I had for it. I revised atoll with feedback from a couple of beta readers, but now I’m waiting to see if I can find a sensitivity reader for it. I started writing sisters and revising Sure Shot 2, edited the DCO collection and started proofreading it, edited one novella (the other is delayed), got my non-fiction book pretty much ready to go out the door, did four craft book exercises, and reviewed two books. So while I didn’t quite get to everything, I still got a good amount done!
In June, I need to:
- Finish writing sisters
- Write dagger
- Write three flash fiction pieces
- Finish revising Sure Shot 2
- Proofread a DCO novella
- Start editing a DCO book
- Finish proofreading the DCO collection and get the layout roughed out
- Do four craft book exercises
- Review a book
