July begins tomorrow, which means today is the perfect day to post my July 2023 prompts!

This month’s prompts are mostly randomly generated, but the first column comes from the Kick in the Creatives July art challenge (with minor modifications). This month’s art challenge there is also to draw upside down, so you might think about adding that into your writing prompts–not to write upside down, but just to invert things in your story, whether that’s the words themselves or situations within!

You could also decide to write about the tiny blue desk crab, pictured here, having adventures throughout the month. He prefers to not be upside down. (I’m not actually sure how well he could stand on his upraised claws, to be honest.)
