Nervous about Summer Camp? Don’t Read This Book
If you’re a parent who’s nervous about sending your kids to their first overnight camp, or if you’re a kid who’s worried about going to an overnight camp, you definitely should not read Camp Haunt.
If you’re not, however, and you enjoy spooky occurrences happening to people who aren’t you, you should check it out. It’s very much meant to evoke a real overnight camp experience. And though I never did a full summer long camp, the less creepy parts are totally based on my experience with camps when I was a tween and teen.
The horror elements? Those are made up, but with the sort of details that fit right in with scary stories told around campfires about ghosts and other things that go bump in the night!
