History That Never Was

I had one story released at the very end of July, but I didn’t realize it was out until my copy of the magazine arrived! “The Price” appeared in the July 2022 issue of New Maps. This is a short flash story involving a bargain and its price.

My story out in August is “Memento Mori” in Queer Weird West Tales. This is a Calamity Jane story that started with a different (and much longer) title, but as I worked it into the piece it is now, “Memento Mori” made much more sense as the title. It’s a sort of weird history tale with science-fantasy elements. And of course, the gender-nonconfirming protagonist, who I utterly adore.
