If you’ve somehow missed the phenomenon that is Wordle, I’m impressed. The small white (or black), yellow, and green boxes are everywhere as people guess the word of the day. For me, it’s a nice way to start my morning and get my brain in gear.

If you play Wordle regularly, and you’re looking for a random writing prompt, what about selecting the word of the day to inspire you? You could also add in your guesses (maybe not your first guess, if it’s always the same word) to give yourself some additional ideas for a prompt. Much like my monthly writing prompts, you can see how the words go together (or how they don’t mesh well) and write a story using one or several of them!
