November was a good month, with two acceptances coming in! One was for a podcast of “Terpsichore,” and I’m waiting to get the contract squared away before I announce the second one. And while I didn’t finish any new stories in November, I’m getting very close on having a couple of new stories ready to make their way into the world by the end of the year. Otherwise, it was just the usual submission cycle, with a couple of stories going onto the shelf for a bit, but a couple of others coming off of the shelf and back into circulation.
This month, I’ve been working on some writing, but also on some other projects. I finished the first draft of “monkey” and “toybox,” both of which will get edits in December. I put together my collection, Heroes of Necessity, which comes out on December 5th (but you can pre-order it now). I reviewed one book for MSJ, and I’ve been working through copy edits on a new Cobalt City book that will come out from DefCon One Publishing in the spring! So looking at my own output may seem a little slim, but when you consider the other stuff I’ve been working on, plus the fact that November is ALWAYS a hectic month for me, I’m pretty pleased with my progress.
Looking forward to December, I need to:
- Clean up “monkey” and “toybox” and start them on the submission rounds.
- Finish writing “twin heroes.”
- Start writing “asgard.”
- Revise/rewrite my 2017 WLYA pieces into something coherent.
- Read and review a couple of books.
Busy, but doable!
