So first off, the acceptance! My story “Army of Me,” will appear in Untethered: A Magic iPhone Anthology, which is due out in September. The publisher is currently running a Kickstarter for this book, so check it out, and if it catches your interest, please do back it! I’m very excited by this acceptance because I really enjoyed writing the story, and then the publisher enjoyed it enough to work with me on getting it into even better shape!

As for the new stories, I finished “laundry” and started that one out on the rounds. And then, while on our last day in London, I wrote a prose poem on my phone (it doesn’t really have a code name). I cleaned it up last night, and started sending it out to markets. I’m really baffled by this–I haven’t written anything resembling poetry since I was an angsty goth girl in the 90s. But this thing just sort of happened. So I’ve been telling everyone that I accidentally committed poetry. That’s the best description I have for it!

I’ve got more old stories in circulation, too, because rights reverted to me on several stories in either late February or early March. (Though I may have miscounted something somewhere along the line. That happens when you work on these things early on a Friday morning.)

As for other writing, I’m nearly done with “booze,” and I’ve nearly finished the outline for “briar.” I should be able to finish “booze” up pretty soon, which is good, because then I’ll be writing “briar” through the middle of June.
