Year in Review
So it’s not quite the end of 2011, but I thought I’d post a quick update about my writing over the course of the year.
I wrote four new short stories in 2011, one of which I just finished on Christmas Eve. One of those stories, “Unexpected Sparx,” was accepted for publication, and appears in Timid Pirate’s Cobalt City Dark Carnival. The other three stories are still making the rounds of submissions.
In addition to the four new short stories, I submitted three stories written in 2010. One of them was “The Recondite Riddle of the Rose Rogue,” previously published in Crossed Genres magazine, which was republished by Nevermet Press in Stories in the Ether (volume 1). The other two are continuing to make the rounds of submissions, but I’m hopeful that I’ve found a good home for one of them.
I’ve still got one story from 2010 that was accepted for publication, which should be coming out at some point in 2012. I’m really looking forward to this one being published, as it’s long awaited by my co-workers!
Aside from the things I finished, there were a number of stories that I started and abandoned. There was also my NaNo novel that didn’t quite make it to the end. These things are on my mind as I approach 2012, but I will post about another time.
Sounds like you had a productive year! That’s awesome. Wishing you much writing success in 2012.
