Coming Soon: Utter Fabrication
Right now, we’re getting toward the home stretch for the latest Mad Scientist Journal anthology, Utter Fabrication. I’m one of the co-editors on our anthologies (along with my husband), and the process eats up a good deal of our writing time. But once we’ve read all of the slush, selected the stories, sent out the contracts, and copy edited the stories, and laid them all out, we’re almost there. The last thing we do is give it all a good read through before sending it off to our amazing authors, so that they can give it one last look before print layout and printing.
Utter Fabrication is the fourth anthology that we’ve put together, and we’d like to think we’re getting better at the process at this point. But it’s still a lot of work, even with all of the tricks we’ve learned along the way. But when we get to hold the printed book in our hands, it’s a fantastically awesome feeling! And we hope all of our readers will enjoy it just as much as we do!
