The August recap is a little bit late because I ended up busier than anticipated at work on Friday, and then sat around like a lazy bum for the better part of the three day weekend.

So if you look at the numbers above, you’ll notice that I had a story accepted in August! Woo hoo! I’m still waiting to find out when it will be published, but it should be in September, and I’ll be sure to update here when it is!

However, there’s still nothing new on the submission front. I was working on a couple of stories that seem to have stalled out, and now I’m working on another one, but I haven’t finished it yet. I really need to get back in the habit of FINISHING things. Really.

Next weekend, a bunch of us are heading out for a writer’s retreat, where I hope to get a bunch of stories done and revised. We only will get one good day of writing in (as opposed to the two days that we got when I went on my last writer’s retreat), but it will still be a good, productive time. And we’ll have a bunch of fun with our friends as well.
