Progress Report

Well, I haven’t been quite as productive as I may have dreamed I could be, but I have made some progress on my stories. The untitled fantasy story is still untitled, but it’s nearing completion. I have one scene to write (something that came up in review), and I need to add a bit of dialogue that gives one character a name (and then follow that up with edits to use his name, rather than the awkward descriptors I had been using).

Vodyanoi (yeah, I spelled it wrong before) is done and has been submitted! I’ve got my fingers crossed that it will find a home, because I’m not all that familiar with sci-fi markets, and I will quickly run out of places to submit it to.

Also, since my last post, I found a good market for one of the stories I’ve been sitting on for a little while. I’m really hoping that it will find a home there, as I think it’s a very good fit. I’m still waiting to hear back on another story that I submitted to a contest, but I’m not anticipating a response on that until next week.

I just looked at the calendar for November to see how it looks in terms of NaNo. It occured to me that I could work on my vampire novel that I mentioned before. And compared to the last time I completed my 50,000 words, this November looks pretty glorious. I may need to find a notebook with a hefty back so that I can write CLEARLY on the bus. Notebooks with thin backs sort of mold themselves to whatever is on my lap, which means my handwriting gets truly disgusting at times. Moreso than usual, of course. (No one ever said writers needed excellent penmanship, right?)
